Gangotri Dham – The Sacred Origin of River Ganga
Gangotri is the second Dham in the Char Dham Yatra, located at an altitude of 3,100 meters. It is home to the Gangotri Temple, dedicated to Goddess Ganga. The actual source of the river is Gaumukh, a glacier 18 km beyond.
